The parish has supported a number of mission organisations over the years, some of which are detailed below.
Feeding Faith is a Christian humanitarian organisation that is focused on increasing the peace, energy, and faith in Jesus Christ through healing, feeding, building, moving and caring for those in need both domestically and internationally. Its three focii are: mission, meals and movement.
Beacon House Ministries is a Christian charity, based in Colchester, that was established to help homeless people, those in insecure accommodation and those at high risk of homelessness. They offer a wide range of support services providing a necessary and vital lifeline to people who are homeless or in vulnerable tenancies. They provide practical support: showers, food, clothing and a nurse-led clinic. They air to support people with a range of creative and personalised activities to get them into housing and employment.
The Van de Ruit family are missionaries in Africa (Uganda and South Africa), whom we have been supported at times over the past 25 years. In Uganda they helped set up Veritas College, a leadership training ministry, which aimed to provide theological training within the local churches, making the much-needed training affordable, accessible. This training reached every corner of Uganda, working in local languages, training trainers who in turn trained other leaders and as such the ministry reached thousands of churches providing their leaders with the skills to handle the word of God correctly. They were also part of a team that started Kampala International Church in their home - this grew to over 100 adults and children. They have also worked in South Africa with Joshua Generation Churches in the Western Cape.
